{name:Adrian Trushcross#|#picture:2}When she introduced herself, Adrian actually tore his eyes away from the window and turned to her. He may be in a semi depression but he wasn’t rude. He knew better, being a usually very social person. Her name was very different, “I’ve heard about and know some Aldertree’s but Rayna...” he said, “has to be a first for me, it’s quite lovely, though...” it suited her, a lot. She looked different but in a very good way, just like her name. “Adrian...” he nodded, licking his chapped lips. “Trushcross,” he almost forgot of the importance of family names with Shadowhunters. He nodded, looking around, thinking about what to say. He had to talk, he had to get over this. His mother had told him that being around new people his age would help him and he believed her; all he needed to do was to take it seriously even if something in his body did not. “Ever been anywhere in London?” he asked her, suddenly needing a bit of fresh air.

{name:Rayna Aldertree#|#picture:3}A knot formed in Rayna's throat, she knew that she wasn't exactly her parents most prized possession, and she rarely went out so could anyone know her, but how everyone was so clueless to the Aldertree's having a daughter was beyond her. Rayna opened her mouth to say something and nothing came out, she stood quietly trying not to break down in front of a stranger. She wondered what she looked like then, taking a few deep breaths, trying to regain her voice. "N-nice to meet you." she stuttered, too embarrassed to even look at him. Instead her gaze traveled over the floor, you could see signs of a bright pink color on her cheeks. "No... I haven't." she answered him, finally looking up, hoping her face had returned to its normal color, and that they would both forget the horrible reaction she had a couple of minutes ago.

{name:Adrian Trushcross#|#picture:2}Adrian looked at her curiously, not sure what exactly had happened. Suddenly, the almost not shy girl had such a hurt expression in her face. He didn’t know what to say or do. What had he said wrong? If he were to ask and she said nothing, he wouldn’t believe it. With her blush, her stutter, the look of a person who’s heart ached gave her away. He slowly put his hand on her shoulder and leaned to catch her eyes, no matter if the colour was slowly disappearing. "Are you alright?" he asked, concerned. It felt nice to think about someone else’s problems for once, not...that he enjoyed her obvious suffering. "I’m thinking of heading out," he turned his head to look through the window. "Would you like to come with me?" his mother was right. It would get better...he could feel it.

{name:Rayna Aldertree#|#picture:3}"I'm just-" she choked, unable to completely meet his eyes. "Just fine." Rayna collected herself rather quickly, although she was still having trouble pushing out all the horrible thoughts in her head. When Adrian mentioned he might be heading out Rayna was quite relieved. Not because she didn't like his company, but she could have the attic to herself so she could cry in the corner silently. "Come with you?" she asked, almost surprised. Rayna liked the thought of finally exploring something outside of the Institute, and she wouldn't be completely alone in London. She glanced at Adrian, giving him a small nod. "Sure."

{name:Adrian Trushcross#|#picture:2}Adrian had completely been wrapped up in his own little misery, his own little world that he forgot how he used to be; caring with others, always wanting to help and for once, he was no longer selfish and became slightly concerned with Rayna, the girl he had just met. That was his personality. “Al...right...” he said slowly because at first, he was going to ask him to tell anyway when he remembered that you didn’t impose things like that to strangers, friends maybe but they had just met, after all. Adrian smiled warmly at her when she agreed, for the first time since...Raziel knows when. “Since it’s your first time going around the place, I think we should start with something relatively small yet...still get the feel of London...” he began, feeling a little better. It wasn’t a moment like this that would change him back to normal in an instant but it was a start. “I’m going to take you to Carleton Square,” he walked to the stairs and turned to her, “Coming?” Adrian nudged his head in his direction.

{name:Rayna Aldertree#|#picture:3}Rayna nodded, moving somewhat hesitantly towards the stairs and down the first few steps. She more nervous than she had imagined she would be, even if Adrian had already assured her they were going somewhere small. "Carleton Square..." she whispered to herself, taking in the name, trying to form pictures in her head of what it might look like. "It sounds pretty." She realized out loud. Now at the bottom of the stairs she realized she had no idea where to go from there. Adrian was a few steps ahead though, so she followed quietly.
OOC: to carleton square!
